Last night there was a coupon class at Truth Tabernacle in which three ladies from the local church gave tips on coupons and how they work. The first speaker was Stephanie Barnes, followed by Analilia "Lele" May and Sis. Kendrick. It was amazing how these three ladies made coupon clipping sound fun. I will admit, other than Bro. Brimhall, I was the only man there (of course his wife probably dragged him there, LOL) but it was worth it. Although coupon clipping isn't new to me, last night gave me a better understanding of how saving money at Walgreens, Target, and CVS works. I also never thought of using coupons to buy gifts or to even give as gifts. I have an app on my iPhone called Shopkick and everyday I collect "kicks" by scanning products, walking into select stores, or just tapping on the stars in the "Nearby" screen which lists the businesses in the area that you are at that time. These "kicks" can then be redeemed for select gift cards such as Target, Starbucks, and others. My latest savings was at Target in which I had collected $20 worth of gift cards for their store. My friend Mitch had also collected $10 of which he gave to me. The purchase I made was a little over $60.00 of which I only paid half. I have also used this app to buy clothes from Old Navy and purchases at Best Buy.
