Emmaus Project

After years of wanting to build a miniature town, I've finally started. I've decided to build the town in HO scale which is closer to scale with the miniature vehicles I'm collecting. One thing that has slowed my progress is the cost of the small scale vehicles and buildings. A 1:72 scale vehicles, which are smaller than 1:64 scale Hot Wheels and Matchbox vehicles, start out at around $5.00. The vehicles I'm wanting start at more like $15 because I need to order them from overseas. The buildings cost even more. The houses in the picture were very cheap because I bought them at a hobby store here in Clovis already built, and they're old. The dealership, which was already built, was more like $30. On sale. I've decided that I want to build my own structures from scratch to save money. I can actually order the windows, doors, and other materials needed. I will update the progress from time to time as I add new structures or landscaping.
