A Visit to the Highway City Branchwork

Since there was no choir practice last night, I visited the Highway City branchwork since it's out in my neck of the woods. I did get Elder Morton's approval last Sunday morning to visit. Bro. Melena talked on "The Heart". He mentioned statistics of the heart that I never knew (like how much it beats per year and stuff like that) and asked where our hearts were. After the alter service there was a meeting of the church to discuss ways to raise money to help pay for the new air conditioning unit that was put in because the old one quit. There was talk of enchilada dinners and car washes to help raise the $1500.00 needed. After church there was a "Macho Nacho" fund raiser. Unfortunately I only had $3.00 cash on me. There will be an all-night prayer lock-in tonight from midnight to 6:00 a.m. tomorrow. I need this to help me through tomorrow's event. Always the guest, never the groom. LOL
